To bad!!!! Group tour here for a week...
No alcohol... Family friendly and great cajun, etc... Food! We love it.
I ordered the 3 shrimp, 3 oysters, and a fish. It was delicious!!! The potato salad, hush puppies, red beans and rice were perfect. We took gumbo home with us. Wonderful people and wonderful food, a must stop here place for Cajun and seafood! Thank you so much!
Had catfish and shrimp combo with red beans and rice, potato salad, grilled bread and hush puppies. So much food, so so good. This place is an absolute gem. 💯 recommend it for a place to stop in if you're in the area.
Hadn't been back here in a while, just wanted to see if it was a good as I remembered. It was still very good, new owner same family.
Love this place. I would recommend going if you get a chance.
Stacy and her staff are the best. The food is amazing!
Excellent seafood and service. I loved the butterfly shrimp and crawfish etoufee.
Fast N Friendly. Fish was excellent!
My fav place for quality Cajun food. Certainly worth going back to. It has a nice feel to it. Mood here is similar to Fresno's scene.
great food and service
Huge selection of dinners. Honestly the BEST etouffee that I've ever had in my life and I've eaten it all over the South for the last 45 years. Perfect seasonings and great people make it truly a favorite place! We will be back every time we are in town.
I’ve lived in north Waco for a long time and this is one of my favorite places. The restaurant is nice inside and has that unique cajun feel. Food is fresh and always cooked with the right amount of spice how I like it. Hard to find these days but the staff is very friendly and the service is top notch.
Great little spot with seriously authentic Cajun fare.
Wasn't as good this time as usually is
Excellent check the photo. Looking to get full. Then stop here. Enjoy.
Legit Cajun food- no frills. Reminds me of New Orleans hole in the wall establishments with real Cajun seasonings.
Probably the the best étouffée in town. Shrimp bites and fish are great. Oysters are not my favorite but they are ok. People are friendly and quick on an order. I will be a regular.
The best Louisiana food in Texas period!
Oh My Goodness!!! It was like I was home! (Louisiana) I had the Crawfish Etouffee, we had the Boudin Balls, my husband had Oyster Po Boy. MMMMM it was good!!! We will be back! We're only a 30 min drive from Waco! Stop by! Have some dinner! KB & DB 💜💜💜
This place has to be the greatest find since my time here in Waco. Fresh Louisiana cooking. The wife an I was amazed at the quality of the food. If you want good eats this is the place. Try the gator it's the real deal!!!
Clean, friendly, fantastic food and the owner is the sweetest most patient and welcoming person! I will go back and try several more meals before I offer to buy the place! Do yourself a favor and try this place.
THE BEST! Reminds me of places back home! Wonderful shrimp, catfish, everything! The staff treats you like family and they feed you like you're home! Ya gotta go!
Ate here today and the catfish was amazing. Fried just right and the staff was very friendly. Probably one the best hole-in-the-wall places in Waco. Give it try!
These girls know how to cook great Cajun food. Very friendly and loving, it shows in their cooking, and great prices too.
If you ever need some food that makes your soul feel good this is the place to come. Definitely taste the love in the cooking. Awesome Job!
Friendly, smiling faces working here. It was our first time and the nice woman working the front (I believe she was the owner) went over the menu with us and offered samples and made good recommendations for what to eat.Our party of three shared the Cajun platter. It was loaded with a good assortment of Cajun delights: Fried fresh catfish- I'm really picky with catfish and this was good clean tasting fish, not at all muddy tasting, fried oysters, fried alligator tail, 2 kinds of fried shrimp and etouffee. We had to take a to go box home. Most everything was over cooked a little so it was kind of rubbery but the flavors were all nice. We didn't say anything to the staff but I feel that if we had there would have been no issue from them to fix it right.Everything on the menu was reasonably priced and they offer a wide assortment of seafood and a few other things for non seafood lovers. The kitchen may just have been having an off night, so we will go back to give them another try.
Stopped by passing through Waco. Awesome little place. Great menu and food. Staff are very helpful.
It's a no brainer, the food here is excellent. Real authentic Cajun food. Good menu and we just had the catfish with read beans and rice. The food was so good I wanted to eat my hands. The staff is friendly and polite, tables are clean and well kept and food came right on time hot and ready. If you ever visit Waco, you must stop here.
E-tou-fee is to die for..ITS THE BEST
I would give it a 4.5. I had the cajun combo platter and it's pretty good. The only real complaint I have is the breading on the oysters fell off really easy. On the plus side, the etouffee was really good!
As they make the best boodan balls ever and they are truly a spiritual Family luv them to the moon and back 🙏🏿😘
Great food and service
Love the food here. Friendly people
I got the boudain balls and crawfish. Food was delicious. Staff was so sweet. My sister said they remind her of her in laws from Nola. Crawfish was super spicy. But they was good just spicy. Maybe next time a little less heat. Glad we found this place on google. We was looking for a local seafood place while we spend the day in Waco. We intened to go to tejun cajun. Glad we found this place first!! Definitely will be coming back!
Best basket of catfish I've had in my life. The staff was wonderful and friendly. The place had a small town feel and brought out the best characteristics of an older time. Every time we go through Waco, we'll be stopping by.
Bayou Platter with a pair of fried frog legs. It was so good! We will go again.
Had the fried crawfish dinner. So delicious .The red beans and rice were the best I had .Defintly coming back Friday evening for gumbo .
My sister and I just took my dad for his 74th birthday here to dine this evening. He had the catfish platter, and I had the two piece catfish plate. The food was hot, flavorful and delicious, as usual. If you haven't given this restaurant a try, get there as fast as you can! The owner, Stacy along with her staff were so sweet, they sang Happy Birthday to my dad (Stevie Wonder version)! They close early, so make sure you don't arrive after 6:45pm. They close at 7pm Wednesday-Saturday, except on Friday, they close at 7:30pm. 👍🏽👍🏽❤
Had a hunger for dirty rice, but it was the wrong season for them to have it (winter). The boudin balls were really good!
We stopped on the way from Austin to Dallas with our family of 5 and had a delicious meal. Extremely nice service. They were out of several sides, so we surely misses out
The owner is amazing, and the food is fantastic!!!!
If food was ever so good it should be illegal this place would be first to go!! Unbelievably delicious, cooked to perfection, classic Cajun menu, all prepared under the loving hand of owner Stacy who is as sweet as Southern Sweet Tea!!! LOVE IT!!!!
Well let me tell you; this place is something special. Some damn good home style Cajun that does not disappoint. I had the first Bayu Platter out to public. I turned into Rick Flare the Natuer Boy. Wooo!!!! Over and over. This place is consistent with quality food. Platter consisted of FRYED: oster, shrimp, crawfish, gator tail, and big ol cup of etufe. Ate this with another fella and both of us hit a wall. I'd recommend that 3-4 people try taking this bad boy on.
Best food outside Louisiana
The food is always great... Stacey is very friendly and a clean place to eat. Go check it out you will definitely go back once you taste that food
Best seafood in Mclennan County. The family that owns and operates the restaurant are from Louisiana and the fish is extremely fresh. He was and may still be personally driving there multiple times a week to hand pick the fish and other seafood. Awesome family. Hard working as they come. I support them and what they do to the fullest. GOD BLESS YOU!
The food was good, for fried food. The atmosphere was relaxing. The employees were very nice! The menu provided many choices.
This is a great little gem of a place for good home down Cajon food.
Great local family owned restaurant. Everything is made fresh, so if you’re expecting Chick-Fil-A drive through time I don't recommend, but if you have the time to come here for dinner, do yourself the favor and come. Etouffee with Crawfish is great. Also have alligator, catfish, shrimp po boys, etc. Truly wonderful people, extremely friendly, and make you feel like family. Try the Bayou Platter! You get almost everything on the menu for a great cost! My best friend and I came here and split it (two college guys) and we still didn’t finish it. Great deal.
I really enjoyed the place. The alligator and crawfish platter was great. The place is not fancy, but who cares if the food's good.
This place is hands-down the best Louisiana style food I’ve found in Waco yet. I just moved here from New Orleans and I heard about Friday’s from friends. So glad I found them because it’s authentic Louisiana cooking. The prices are very good and the service is fast. Get the gumbo and etouffe!
